This Access database is designed to allow institutions performing Patient Safety Leadership WalkRounds to collect data and then keep track of how the information is used, what actions are taken, and generate feedback and reports.
Directions
- Use the Patient Safety Leadership WalkRounds Tool to learn how to conduct WalkRounds in your organization.
- Download the zipped file containing the Access database to track your WalkRounds data. The accompanying Word document contains detailed directions on how to use the database.
**Please note that the file is in ZIP format, and contains two files. Windows XP will automatically open the ZIP file; for other operating systems a tool like WinZip (or other free alternatives) should be used.
**Also note that you will need to extract the MDB file from the ZIP archive before opening it, rather than simply double-clicking it from within the archive; otherwise you may receive a message that the database is read-only.
**Depending on your version of Microsoft Access, you may be asked to Convert or Open the database when you first launch the file. Select "Convert" and save it as a new filename.
